Mr Malambo is senior partner and founder of the Firm. He has over 35 years’ experience in the practice of law and is a member of the inner bar, having been conferred with the honour and dignity of State Counsel for Zambia in October 2002 (an honour equivalent to that of Queen’s Counsel (QC) in the United Kingdom). He is a litigation specialist.

Mr Malambo’s practice experience commenced with Namukamba Chambers, where he worked as Assistant Counsel from 1984 to 1986. In 1986 he joined Mhango & Company as its Managing Partner. Over the years, Mr Malambo has been involved in the litigation of some of the leading cases in various aspects of the laws of Zambia, thereby contributing immensely to the development of law in Zambia. Mr Malambo continues to litigate many lawyer-referred cases in both the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Zambia.

A member of the International Bar Association (and its Section on Business Law) as well as of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of the United Kingdom, Mr Malambo has represented and continues to act for major International Banks and International Debt Advisors based in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States of America.

In addition to his vast experience in the private sector, Mr Malambo served as Special Assistant to the President for Political and Legal Affairs; as a Member of Parliament and as Minister of Legal Affairs for the Government of the Republic of Zambia. During this time, he was extensively involved in a number of legislation, policy and regulatory developments for the public sector. Among the various pieces of legislation drafted during his tenure and superintendence were those that set the policy and regulatory framework that support the liberalised economy and autonomous institutions that prevail in Zambia today.
